Who we are

Fixio (fixio.ge and the Fixio app) helps drivers in Georgia find car mechanics and car parts. Fixio is responsible for the personal data described here. Questions or requests: info@fixio.ge.

What we collect

Without an account, you can search and browse. We then see your searches and filters, and, only if you allow it, your device's location.

With an account we keep your name and email, and your password as a one-way hash (never the password itself). Signing in with Google gives us the name, email and profile photo Google shares. Garage owners also give a phone number, which we verify with a code.

What you add: cars in your garage, saved mechanics, reviews, photos you upload, and the details in a garage or parts-shop application.

Messages you write to us or to the AI assistant in the chat window.

Why we use it

To show mechanics and parts near you and sort them by distance; to run your account and send sign-in, verification and password-reset codes; to publish garage listings and reviews; to answer you; to keep Fixio secure and stop abuse; and to understand which pages people use so we can improve them. We don't sell your personal data, and Fixio doesn't take payments.

Location

Your browser or phone asks before sharing your location, and you can say no; search still works with a city or an address. When you allow it, we use it for that search to find what's near you. We don't keep a history of where you've been.

What others can see

Reviews are public with the name on your account. A garage's or parts shop's listing (name, address, phone, hours, photos) is public, because that is what it's for. Your email, phone number, garage and saved list are not shown to anyone.

Services we work with

Some companies process data for us, only to run Fixio:

  • Hosting and servers: Hostinger (website and email), DigitalOcean and Microsoft Azure (the API), Neon (the database), Amazon Web Services (uploaded photos, stored in the EU).
  • Google: sign-in with Google, and Google Analytics to count visits.
  • Meta: the Meta Pixel, to measure our ads on Facebook and Instagram.
  • Tether: the AI chat assistant receives what you type in the chat.
  • VIN check: the VIN you enter is sent to public vehicle databases (such as the US NHTSA) to fetch the car's details.

Links that open Google Maps or a mechanic's website take you to services with their own privacy policies.

Cookies and storage on your device

Fixio stores a few things in your browser: your sign-in, language, theme, and a short-lived copy of search data so pages load faster. Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel set their own cookies. You can clear all of it in your browser settings; you will be signed out.

How long we keep it

Account data stays while you have an account. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, garage and saved list within 30 days; reviews you wrote are deleted too. Server logs and backups expire on their own within a few weeks.

Your rights and deleting your account

Under Georgia's Law on Personal Data Protection you can ask what data we hold about you, get a copy, have it corrected or deleted, and object to its use. To delete your account, write to info@fixio.ge from the email on your account; we reply within 10 days. If you think we've handled your data wrongly, you can also complain to Georgia's Personal Data Protection Service.

Security

Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS), passwords are stored only as hashes, and access to the database is limited to the people who run Fixio. No system is perfectly safe; if a breach affects you, we will tell you.

Children

Fixio is not meant for anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us data, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes

When this policy changes, we update the date at the top. If a change matters for how we use your data, we'll tell you on the site or by email. See also the Terms and Conditions.
