Why Fixio, and not a friend's tip or a regular map?
Most people find a mechanic one of two ways: they ask someone they know, or they search a map. Both can work, but neither reliably answers the main question — can this garage fix your car? Fixio was built to answer it.
What you can find out before you call
| Question | Friend's tip | Regular map | Fixio |
|---|---|---|---|
| Does the garage do the repair you need? | Sometimes | No | Yes |
| Does it work on your car's make? | Sometimes | No | Yes |
| Has anyone checked that the garage is real? | Sometimes | No | Yes |
| Can you read what other drivers wrote about it? | No | Yes | Yes |
| Can you see how far it is from you? | No | Yes | Yes |
| Can you compare several garages side by side? | No | Sometimes | Yes |
| Is it free? | Yes | Yes | Yes |
A friend's tip is hard to beat — if they had the same car and the same problem. A regular map shows the address and reviews, but not whether the garage, say, repairs gearboxes.
How Fixio works
Search
Pick the repair you need and your car's make. Fixio shows only the garages that do that work.
Compare
See them on the map or as a list: how far each one is, its rating, what drivers wrote and whether it's verified. Sort by distance or by rating.
Get in touch
Call the garage directly or get directions to it. Save the ones you like so you can find them again later.
What Fixio doesn't do
Fixio doesn't repair cars — it helps you find a garage. You agree the work and the price directly with the garage you choose.
Online booking isn't available yet. You contact the garage by phone.
"Verified" means we checked the garage: the address is real, it operates under that name, and it really does the work it lists. It isn't a grade for the quality of that work — that's what reviews are for.
VIP is paid placement: the garage appears higher in search results. It never changes or hides that garage's reviews.
