VIP vs Regular Garage Listings: What Changes for You
You've probably noticed a gold VIP badge next to some garages on the map and wondered whether it's just paid advertising in disguise. It's worth being precise about what it actually is.
What VIP actually is
VIP is a placement upgrade: a garage pays to appear higher, or first, in relevant searches and on the home page. It's separate from the verified badge, which is about confirming a garage's identity and that it's a real, operating business — VIP is about visibility, not legitimacy.
What doesn't change
Reviews, ratings, and verification status work exactly the same way for VIP and regular garages. A VIP garage with weak reviews still shows those reviews in full — no one can pay to hide them.
How to use both signals together
Treat VIP as visibility, not as a trust shortcut. A well-reviewed regular listing a few spots down is often a better choice than a VIP one with mediocre ratings — the badge just means you saw it first, not that it's the right one for you.
Fixio never hides reviews or ratings behind paid placement. If VIP status isn't a priority for you, sort by rating or distance instead and decide from there.
